UI95

Installation

How to make your app look like this.

Prerequisites

You need a React project with Tailwind CSS 4 and shadcn set up on Radix. Base UI projects are not supported yet. Start one if you have none.

Terminal
npx shadcn@latest init -b radix

Add the theme

Every component reads the theme tokens, so add it first. The theming guide covers fonts and palettes.

npx shadcn@latest add https://www.ui95.dev/r/theme.json

Add components

Every component page has its own command. It installs the files and every item they build on.

npx shadcn@latest add https://www.ui95.dev/r/button.json

Icons

No icon pack ships with the theme. I recommend pixelarticons-react. Its icons sit on the same pixel grid, and this site uses it too.

Terminal
npm install @nsmr/pixelart-react
Example
import { Moon } from "@nsmr/pixelart-react"

<Moon size={24} />

Use the @ui95 namespace

Register the namespace once and install by name. The CLI fills {style} from your components.json.

npx shadcn@latest init -b radix
npx shadcn@latest registry add "@ui95=https://www.ui95.dev/r/{style}/{name}.json"

That writes this to components.json. You can also paste it yourself.

components.json
{
  "registries": {
    "@ui95": "https://www.ui95.dev/r/{style}/{name}.json"
  }
}
Terminal
npx shadcn@latest add @ui95/button
